GAIN: Adjusts the gain or white point for the image.While different NLEs use different terminology to address these controls, these are the basic terms typically used: Luma Controls adjust the brightness of the image and can increase or decrease the contrast of an image. There are three main tools for balancing the contrast and color of your image in most NLE programs: Luma Controls, Color Wheels and Color Curves.
